Quality Features :

1.) Impellers are machined from cast iron to an exact profile and are permanently fastened to steel shafts. They are dynamically balanced for smooth operation in any installed position. This feature provides extra strength and rigidity to handle continuous maximum loads without fatigue or deflection.

2.) Head plates, machined from cast iron, are ground on the interior surface to precise operating tolerances. Bearing fits are machined into head plates to assure exact bearing positioning. This feature provides accurate, fixed-dimension clearances through all blower operating temperature ranges.

3.) Impeller case, machined from cast iron, are heavily ribbed to prevent distortion and reduce noise transfer. Inlet and discharge ports are integral features of the cylinder. Oversized dowel pins maintain proper internal alignment, assure quieter, trouble-free operation.

4.) Anti-friction bearings are used exclusively. Smaller sizes are fitted with single-row ball bearings and cylindrical roller bearings, while larger sizes have double-row ball bearings and spherical roller bearings. This optimum bearing selection provides longer blower life and added overhung load capacity.

5.) Timing gears, precision machined from alloy steel forgings, are permanently pinned to shafts. This feature assures non-slip timing even under the most strenuous loading conditions.

6.) Timing gears and gear end bearings are lubricated utilizing an abundant oil reservoir. A graphite, oil-tight housing encloses the timing gears. The drive end bearings are grease lubricated through external fittings. Lip-type seals prevent oil and grease from entering the impeller chamber. This feature provides superior gear and bearing lubrication at all operating conditions with minimal maintenance.

7.) The Legend's flex-mount design allows for either vertical or horizontal installation. The feet are precisely machined and match the footprints of many competitive units. Drive shaft is extended for v-belt drive or direct connection. Allows adaptability and ease of installation of Legend blowers to all blower applications.
